First you must have self-respect and caliberation. You must be ready to embark on the journey to obtain your goal as a firefighter. Will you be ready for the toughest brotherhood in public service? Ask yourself. We plan to make you a better critical thinker and sharpen your knowledge of the firefighting culture.

Second we ask for someone who is dedicated. You will be held accountable at all times, just like fire operations on the fireground. When you pass the pledge process Phi Pi Alpha will become your team, and the toughest team you’ve ever been on.

You will have a financial, educational, and physical obligation to Phi Pi Alpha. On the Cal State L.A. campus we aren’t known for social events. We are known for service to the community and to our campus.
